The Adelaide Racing Carnival is held annually through the months of March and May by the South Australia Jockey Club conduct all feature races at Morphettville racecourse in Adelaide, including two at Morphettville Parks.
The major event in early March is the Group 2 Adelaide Cup over 3200 metres on the Labour day public holiday while later in the month two Group 1 races take place including the Australasian Oaks over 2000 metres for 3yo Fillies and the Robert Sangster Stakes over 1200 metres for fillies & mares. Two more Group 1 races are held at Morphettville in March when the South Australian Derby and Goodwood sprint take place on the final day of the autumn carnival.
The new racing season begins in August and with it brings Adelaide's only group race of the spring with the running of the Group 3 Spring Stakes at Morphettville which is a 1200 metre weight-for-age race.
