Richmond Football Club 2010

The Richmond Football Club is a Melbourne based club which was established in 1908 and are nicknamed the ‘Tigers’. Their home matches are played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and club colours are yellow and black.

Richmond have won 10 premierships in their proud history, with 1980 the most recent win, when they demolished Collingwood to the tune of 80 points. They have struggled for on-field success in recent times, with regular finishes in the bottom eight of the league ladder, but they have a strong supporter base who follow the Tigers loyally through thick or thin.

Richmond had an ordinary 2009 season after finishing ninth the year before and the expected improvement and finals contention never came during the season. The poor start to the year seen Terry Wallace leave the club mid-season and the Tigers will be looking for a more positive performance in 2010 under new coach Damian Hardwick.
