The Richmond Football Club is a Melbourne based club which was established in 1908 and are nicknamed the ‘Tigers’. Their home matches are played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and club colours are yellow and black.
Richmond have won 10 premierships in their proud history, with 1980 the most recent win, when they demolished Collingwood to the tune of 80 points. They have struggled for on-field success in recent times, with regular finishes in the bottom eight of the league ladder, but they have a strong supporter base who follow the Tigers loyally through thick or thin.

Richmond in 2011
Richmond improved significantly from the previous season on the back of the continued improvement from youngsters such as Trent Cotchin, Dustin Martin, Tyrone Vickery, Reece Conca and Jake Batchelor. The Tigers found more avenues to goal rather than relying too heavily on Jack Riewoldt up forward, but it was down back where they were found out against the better sides.
Richmond 2011 Best and Fairest winner: Trent Cotchin
Trent Cotchin came of age in the midfield and looks set for a bright future. Cotchin got the ball 530 times for the season and scored 18 goals along the way.
