West Coast Eagles in 2011
From Wooden Spoon to Top 4 was a remarkable result for the West Coast Eagles to make them the biggest improvers of the year. Matthew Priddis and Quinten Lynch were pivotal to the Eagles success, while a return to form and fitness for class players Dean Cox, Darren Glass, Andrew Embley and Daniel Kerr made the West Coast a formidable outfit during the season.
The blooding and continued improvement of youngsters such as Andrew Gaff, Luke Shuey, Scott Selwood and Jack Darling will only see the Eagles improve even further in the next few years.
West Coast Eagles 2011 Best and Fairest winner: Darren Glass
Darren Glass was back to his defensive best and was one of the major reasons why the West Coast improved so much down back during the season.
