Ballarat Cup | Spring Racing Carnival

The Ballarat Cup is a country cup event held each November at Dowling Forest racecourse in Ballarat, which is about 113 kilometres west of Melbourne. An open handicap race run over a distance of 2200 metres, the Cup is the Western District's second big country cup alongside the neighbouring Bendigo Cup, which takes place earlier in the spring at Bendigo.

Ending the faboulous 2010 Melbourne spring racing carnival, the race will take place on a Sunday after traditionally being run midweek on a Wednesday.
