The Bletchingly Stakes is a Group 3 race run over 1200 metres at Caulfield and is the first stakes race of the new racing season in Melbourne. The race is run annually in August under weight-for-age conditions during the Melbourne spring racing carnival and is named after former champion sprinter Bletchingly.
In 2011, the 1st of August falls on a Monday which means the Bletchingly Stakes will be held on July 30th for the 2010/2011 season.
