The Perth Racing Carnival is held at Ascot racecourse over summer and Belmont Park racecourse over winter.
The summer period in November and December sees feature racing at the picturesque Ascot race track with the running of the Group 1 Railway Handicap worth $1,000,000 and Group 1 Kingston Town Classic a fortnight later. On New Year's Day the Group 2 Perth Cup takes place at Ascot and offers a great day's racing to bring in the new year.
The autumn racing carnival is held between March and April, with the major race being the Group 1 WATC Derby, whilst the Group 2 Karrakatta Plate is held in high regard.
Winter racing sees Belmont racecourse the main attraction in May, June and July with four group races on the agenda including the Roma Cup, Belmont Sprint, Hyperion Stakes and Strickland Stakes.
