Adelaide Metropolitan Race Tracks | SA Race Tracks

Metropolitan racing in South Australia is held in Adelaide and all metropolitan racing now takes place at Morphettville racecourse after the closing of Cheltenham and Victoria Park courses in recent years. All major Group and Listed races in SA are all held at the spacious Morphettville track.

A second Adelaide track opened in June 2009 and was incorporated within the current course at Morphettville and is known as 'Morphettville Parks' .

Morphettville is a big spacious track which is fair for all horses and has a straight long enough to enable front runners or fast finishers to win. it is home to the Goodwood Hcp in May.

The Parks course is situated within the main Morphettville course and is a roomy track which gives all horses an equal chance, whether racing up on the pace or coming from behind.
