Perth Metropolitan Race Tracks - Western Australia (WA)

Metropolitan racing in Western Australia is held in Perth and is home to two city racecourses which are located east of the city centre.

Ascot is Perth's summer racing track and it is here you will find most of WA's major group races being run, with their main event being the Railway Classic held in December.

Belmont Park is Perth's winter racing track and it holds a limited number of quality races, with the best being the Goodwin Sprint.

Track

Ascot is Perth's Summer racing track. It is a roomy track with a relatively short straight of 294m with a nice home turn to negotiate before a slight uphill run home from the 400m to the winning post. It is home to the $1,000,000 Railway Stakes.

Circumference: 1,699 metres | Straight: 333 metres | Direction: Anti-Clockwise

Track

Belmont Park is Perth's Winter racing track which has wide turns and a long enough straight to allow for front runners or fast finishers. Home of the Goodwin Sprint.
