The Yalumba Stakes is held at Caulfield racecourse on the same day as the Group One Caulfield Guineas and Toorak Handicap. It is a good horse's race contested by some of the country's top gallopers and has been won by horses like El Segundo, Northerly, Juggler, Might and Power and has been a good guide to the Caulfield Cup, WS Cox Plate, and Melbourne Cup in recent times. The race has prizemoney of $403,000 and was won by Douro Valley in 2008.
